Technical Specifications of Siemens BDS331 :

Operating voltage: 24V DC

Monitoring current: 6mA

Alarm current: 60mA

Operating temperature: -10...+50°C

Relative humidity: 95% (40±2°C)

Relay contact load: 125VAC/1A, 24VDC/1.25A

Detailed Features of Siemens BDS331:

Each floor display can only show alarm points within its loop, and one BDS331 can display up to 127 locations on the same loop.

The BDS331 fire display panel is directly connected to the BC80 two-bus detection loop. It is typically installed at the stairwell or duty room on each floor to display fire alarms and linkage information for this loop.

It can display the loop of the device, the address number, and the device type number.

The BDS331 fire display panel consists of a casing, a display panel, and a central control circuit board.

Wiring Diagram of Siemens BDS331 :

The BDS331 fire display panel is connected to the system bus through P and S, and G and V are connected to the system’s power supply. A set of output contacts can link to on-site equipment (such as sound and light alarm equipment).

P and S terminals are connected to the two bus lines on this floor to communicate with the controller.

P and S terminals are polarity-free. V and G terminals are connected to the system’s V and G lines to power BDS331. V and G must not be reversed.

Relay output terminals 0, 1, and 2 (CO, NC, NO) can connect to on-site alarm equipment (wiring diagram, see page P33).

Applications:

Industrial Automation: Controls digital devices such as relays, valves, and actuators in automated systems.

Manufacturing and Production Lines: Provides reliable output for controlling machinery and equipment.

Process Control: Used in controlling processes that require precise digital control, such as fluid or gas regulation.

Machine Control: Powers devices like solenoids and motors for precise operation in machine control systems.

Installation:

Ensure that the power is off before installation.

Mount the BDS331 module onto a standard DIN rail.

Connect the 24V DC power supply to the input terminals.

Connect the digital output devices (e.g., actuators, relays) to the respective output channels.

After connections are made, turn the power on and verify the correct operation using the systems diagnostics.
