Notifier Dual Bonding Web Card NCM-W

The Notifier Dual Bonding Web Card NCM-W is also known as the Dual NCM-W. A High-Speed Network Communications Module exists. Manufacturers design it for use with Intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panels. It enables the connection of nodes with twisted pair wire and provides robust networking options for fire alarm systems.
The NFS-640 does not require this interface card as a standalone unit. You need to set up one NCM-W network card. This is necessary when connecting to other controllers or Network Control Stations (NCS) in a network.
The NCM-W is for twisted pair cables. The communication distance depends on the type of wire. The maximum distance is about 900 meters.
Use the Notifier NCM-F for fiber optic connections. The NCM-F utilizes 62.5-micron multimode fiber optic cable with an 8dB signal attenuation. Network layouts can be ring, non-ring, or star. If a fiber optic cable network card is required instead of twisted pair network cards, specify NCM-F.
If there is no need for networking, the card is not required.
1. General Description
l The Notifier NCM-W provides essential network connection capabilities for fire alarm systems, ensuring reliable communications. It supports NFPA Style 7 Class A operation and Style 4 (Class B), covering all criteria for compliance.
l The module’s design regenerates data at each node. This keeps a strong signal over long distances. This feature makes the NCM cards suitable for demanding installations.
